About Us

Jabin Project Management is a 100% Indigenous-owned engineering consultancy focusing on client-side project management. Jabin’s clients include those looking for quality outcomes for their mid-size infrastructure and housing projects or assistance with managing programs of work over several geographic areas. This extends from Government clients to the private sector. Jabin’s project managers have extensive regional and remote experience. This type of experience builds knowledge of how best to deliver projects that have unique constraints.

In addition to undertaking projects in our own right, Jabin assists clients by adding experienced personnel to their in-house contingent workforce to be involved in specific one-off projects or be relocated to site-based roles.

Jabin is supported by a network of project managers, architects and engineers with similar experience and knowledge and has the backing of several capacity partners should the need arrive.

Certifications and awards

  • Jabin Project Management carries Certified Supplier status issued by Supply Nation.
  • In 2017 Jabin Project Management won Supply Nation Registered Supplier of the Year.

About Dennis Jose, Founder, Managing Director

Dennis is a descendant of the Yidinyji Nation in Far North Queensland and grew up in the small town of Innisfail, Queensland. Following great support from his family, friends, and school, Dennis embarked on university studies which led to graduation with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) in 1994. Dennis’ career commenced in local government before moving into the private sector with global engineering consultancies where he has spent most of his career. The majority of his work has been delivering housing and infrastructure projects into remote Indigenous communities, including water and sewerage upgrades, roadworks and housing construction and refurbishments. Further qualifications in Environmental Engineering and Business has complemented Dennis’ experience.

Dennis now hopes to provide an example to other Indigenous young people that we can move away from our communities and return with qualifications and experience to help develop our communities. Dennis is committed to giving back to the community and is an active member of Engineers without Borders (Australia).

About the logo

Jabin is the Yidiny word for the crest of the Cassowary. The Cassowary is the majestic icon of the rainforest country where Dennis was born. As the Cassowary confidently moves forward without fear, Jabin Project Management aims to do the same. Constantly moving forward our client’s goals and moving forward Indigenous enterprise in Australia.
