Dennis is a descendant of the Yidinyji Nation in Far North Queensland. Dennis holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and Master of Environmental Engineering and was awarded Registered Project Manager (Certified Practicing Project Manager) status by the Australian Institute of Project Management.
Dennis’ career commenced in local government before moving into the private sector with global engineering consultancies where he has spent most of his career. As a school leaver Dennis moved away from his community and then returned with qualifications and experience to help develop communities across Cape York through delivery of projects including water and sewerage upgrades, roadworks and housing construction and refurbishments. a stage of Dennis’ career that he is thankful for.

Grant Maher is a proud descendant of the Gumbaynggirr and Biripi people from Northern New South Wales, with a distinguished career as a structural and façade engineer. He is a Registered Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng, NER)), a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ), Registered Engineer and Design Practitioner (NSW - Structures & Facades), Registered Engineer Victoria (Structures) and a Fellow of Engineers Australia. Grant holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Structural), a Bachelor of Commerce, and a Master of Design Science (Sustainable Design). In 2023, he was honoured with the University of Melbourne's Kernot Medal for his distinguished engineering achievements and his contributions to the profession in Australia.
Grant’s career spans a diverse range of projects and disciplines, including extensive experience in façades, ESD, design management, procurement, and fabrication. He has worked in both contracting and consulting roles across local and international projects in sectors such as government, aviation, Defence, residential, and commercial.
Beyond his professional achievements, Grant serves in several influential roles, including as a board member of Engineers Without Borders, CEO of Deadly Coders, inaugural member of the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT) Indigenous Advisory Board to the Dean, and a member of the Indigenous Advisory Board for GTP Group. He is also committed to mentoring young Indigenous engineers and inspiring more Indigenous Australians to pursue careers in engineering and STEM.
